Samsung Galaxy A8s with Infinity-O display launched: Features and Specifications

As anticipated, Samsung has launched their first Infinity-O display smartphone Galaxy A8s in China . The A8s launch is in line with company’s announcement at the recently concluded Samsung Developer Conference where it stated that it will be introduce different phones with varied display camera hole shapes. The Samsung Galaxy A8s is the first to be launched among this lot with an Infinity- O display. The phone has a small hole on the top left corner for housing the selfie camera. The mobile does have slight chins on the bottom and top though.

Samsung Galaxy A8s Features

The Samsung Galaxy A8s boasts a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The front camera module is said to be fixed in a 6.7mm cutout. The display size is 6.2-inch that includes the camera hole. This phone is powered by Snapdragon 710 chipset and is supported by Adreno 616 GPU. The phone comes with either 6GB or 8GB RAM. As for storage, it ships 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 512GB.

In optics, the A8s features a triple camera setup on the rear with a 24MP (f/1.7 aperture) primary lens, 10MP (f/2.4 aperture) telephoto lens and a 5MP ( f/2.2 aperture) depth sensor. Samsung has also included a 24MP (f/2.0 aperture) front-facing camera for selfies. The rear camera setup is bolstered with an LED flash.

The Galaxy A8s comes with Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. The phone is packed with 4000 mAh that supports adaptive fast charging. Samsung Galaxy A8s will be available in three colour gradients: Blue, Green and Grey. It is available for pre-order from December 21st in China.
