Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Unpacked Event set for September 23

Samsung has revealed the date for its upcoming product event. The launch affair titled, “Galaxy Unpacked for Every Fan” clearly indicates the unveil of Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE). The online event will go live via samsung.com on September 23rd at 10 am ET (7:30 pm IST).

So, tick tick set the reminder, and here’s what you can expect to witness that day:

Samsung Galaxy FE specs and features (expected)

The new phone, unlike the Note 10 Lite (review) and S10 Lite (review) of last year, will boast a flagship-y processor. That is either Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990. Even the rest of the repertoire won’t be shying away from new and big features.

Inside, you could also expect a 4500mAh battery (w/ 15W charger), 128GB UFS 3.0 storage, 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 4G connectivity support.

The front is likely to have an sAMOLED panel with a 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Infinity-O cutout might house a 32MP snapper. By the back, it is said to sport triple cameras viz. a 12MP primary Sony IMX555 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability.

As a downgrade, expect a glasstic body. Online listings suggest red, dark blue, mint green, and pink colors.

Other things expected include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 dust and water protection, USB-Type C socket, and a solo speaker.

The price and Indian availability is unclear at the moment. However, it is expected to context against the Oneplus 8. We’ll see.
