Samsung Galaxy S23 Series ‘Unpacked Event’ confirmed for February 1, 2023: Galaxy A Series phones launching on Jan 18

South Korean tech giant has finally confirmed the date of launch for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Series. The brand has sent out invites for an in-person ‘Unpacked Event’ that will take place on February 1, 2023, at 10 AM PST. The event will also be live-streamed online on Samsung’s YouTube channel, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung.com. In India, you will be able to watch the event at 11:30 PM on February 1.

The invite has confirmed that the brand will showcase its latest premium  Galaxy innovations during the event. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series will include Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Unpacked Event: What to expect

All the 3 phones in the series will have premium specs and are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with at least 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. They will have 5G, WiFi 6, and more. Looking at the teaser that has been released by Samsung, the triple camera setup seems to be the highlight of the smartphones so these might come with improved night photography and videography. These phones will run Android 13 with custom UI 5 skin on top. Although all 3 phones are likely to have an improved display with higher brightness and better colors, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be the star of the event. The phones will come in Cotton Flower, Misty Lilac, Botanic green, and phantom black colors.

Samsung Galaxy A-Series in India on January 18

Samsung is also launching 2 new A-Series smartphones on January 18. Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy A23 5G will be the latest additions to the brand’s A-Series.

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is expected to sport a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. It will run Android 13-based OneUI 5.0 and pack a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. In terms of camera, A14 will have a 50MP main, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor at the back and a 13MP lens at the front. The Galaxy A14 5G will also have 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It will weigh 202 grams and its dimensions will be 167.7x78x9.1mm. The price of the phone on the box has been spotted as Rs. 22,999.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy A23 5G will have a 6.6-inch FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is powered by Snapdragon 695 chipset with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The smartphone has a quad camera setup at the back with a 50MP main sensor (OIS), 5MP ultrawide camera, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. There is also an 8MP selfie sensor. The Galaxy S23 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging and connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual sim, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
