As the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series gets closer, details about the specs and features of the various models in the series are being unveiled. Latest reports claim that the Galaxy S23 Series devices will have a new cooling tech and the Ultra variant is also getting a new low-light imaging technology. Moreover, the RAM, Storage, and color options are revealed as well.

New Cooling Technology

Rumors about the new cooling tech surfaced when the Galaxy S23 Series devices showed less-than-expected multi-core scores for the devices. The devices are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which is made by TSMC based on a 4nm manufacturing process. The difference includes a higher peak performance core clock speed of 3.32GHz in Samsung phones. There was an inability to achieve peak performance multi-core scores which made tipster Ahmed Qwaider suggest that Samsung has developed a new cooling technology that will improve heat dissipation by 1.6x on the standard S23, 2.6x on the S23 Plus and 2.3x on the S23 Ultra.

New Night Vision Camera

Tipster Ice Universe suggests that the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s night photography will really be night vision. Nothing is known about if this is really a new mode or just a hoax for marketing. Samsung already has an algorithm-enhanced night photography mode but now it remains to be seen if this new night vision is actually something new or not.

RAM & Storage options

The Samsung Galaxy S23 & S23+ might have 8GB RAM as a base while the Ultra model will have 12GB base RAM. Tipster Ahmed Qwaider claims that Samsung will do away with the 128GB model and have 256GB storage for the base models of Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will come in 512GB and 1TB storage models.

Color Options

The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra will reportedly come in Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black colors. There are chances that Samsung might offer S23 devices in other colors exclusively via e-commerce websites, just like how it did with Galaxy S22.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series is tipped to launch on 1st February 2023 via an unpacked event.
