Samsung begins the new year on a high as the brand launches its flagship ‘S’ Series early every year. With 2023 drawing to a close in about 3 months, Samsung is done with almost all its high-end launches for this year. The focus has now shifted to the annual Galaxy S24 Series that will go official in Q1 2024. Till now the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series was unknown but this seems to have changed as a date is being circulated around as the expected launch date of the S24 Series.

Reliable Tipster Ice Universe claims that Samsung might launch the Galaxy S24 Series on the 18th of January. The tipster shared this information via Weibo and also clarified that though this might not be the exact launch date the timeframe of the announcement will be around the expected date.
The latest information might be legit as it is in tandem with the report that claimed Samsung launching Galaxy S24 Series earlier than usual this time to counter the high demand for the recently launched Apple iPhone series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Series: Expected Specs
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Series will include- Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra devices. The S24 Series is expected to be powered by Exynos 2400 chipset in Asia, Africa, and Europe while Canada, China, and the US might get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 version of the smartphones.

The Galaxy S24 vanilla and S24+ might get 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage while the top-end model might get up to 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage. Reports claim that the Galaxy S24 will have a 4000mAh battery while Galaxy S24+ will get a 4900mAh battery. The Galaxy S24 Ultra might pack a 5000mAh battery. The charging speeds will mostly be the same as the predecessors. Two-way satellite connectivity for emergency situations is also expected to be introduced.
In terms of camera optics, the S24 and S24+ might feature 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto lenses. The top-end Ultra model is said to get a 200MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. All 3 smartphones are said to sport QHD+ Super AMOLED displays with 2500 nits peak brightness.
