TL; DR

  • The Galaxy S25 will measure just 7.2 mm thin and 1.8 mm for the camera bump.
  • The Galaxy S25 Ultra will measure 8.2 mm thin and 2.4 mm for the camera bump.
  • Both models will have ultra-thin bezels.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra have had their designs leaked in fresh renders by Ice Universe, revealing a sleek and ultra-slim profile for both devices. According to these leaks, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be just 8.2 mm thin, while the S25 will impress with an even slimmer 7.2 mm profile.

The camera bump on the Galaxy S25 will also be notably slimmer at just 1.8 mm, compared to the S25 Ultra’s 2.4 mm. Reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 could carry a similar camera setup to the Galaxy S24, potentially powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400/Exynos 2500 chipset.

The camera setup, the battery size, the charging speed, and everything are expected to remain the same for the Galaxy S25. All the changes would be in the design, and, that too, very minor changes.

One thing that I personally don’t like about the S25 lineup in general is the rings around the camera lenses, like we have on the Galaxy Z Fold6. Leaked CAD-based renders by @OnLeaks suggest that the rings would be a part of the S25’s design.

Thankfully, Ice Universe comforts us by saying that this is probably not true. Another thing that’s probably untrue about the renders is the bezel size in the S25. Ice demonstrated how thin the bezel on the Galaxy S25 actually would be.

On the other hand, Samsung seems to be refining the Galaxy S25 Ultra with a slightly more generic design, like the rest of the S lineup. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in the first week of January 2025.
