Recently, Apple launched the iPhone 16 Series globally which includes four devices- iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Now, while brands like OnePlus, and Xiaomi are gearing up for the launches of flagship products, the focus has started shifting to the next big thing in the tech world, the Galaxy S25 Series launch that will take place in January 2025. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series will most likely include the same three models- Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra and details regarding these have been making rounds for months now.
However, now there’s a major development as the first look of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has surfaced online, courtesy of CAD Renders shared by Android Headlines. Let us have a look at them closely.

The above renders showcase the first look of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. These are CAD renders so they might not be totally accurate but they do give an idea about what to expect. The camera ring design is still shrouded in mystery however, the placement of cameras is correct in these renders.
The biggest design difference on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the flat sides that it showcases in the renders. The Galaxy S24 Ultra had rounded sides but the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra has flat sides similar to Pixel 9 design.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to feature a 50MP ISOCELL JN3 sensor for its ultrawide lens, a 200MP H2 primary camera, and a 10MP IMX754 sensor for the 3x telephoto lens. Additionally, Samsung is likely to maintain the 5x telephoto camera, which will utilize a 50MP IMX584 sensor.
The top-end Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will also be lighter than the Galaxy S24 Ultra (review)as it will weigh 219 grams as opposed to the predecessor weighing 232 grams. This is due to the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra being smaller than the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It has smaller bezels and dimensions of 162.8×77.6×8.2mm.

Despite having smaller dimensions, Samsung will be sticking with the same 5000mAh battery. It will support 45W wired charging similar to Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra. In terms of chipset, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC made for Galaxy. The chipset will be announced in October during the Snapdragon summit and it is expected to be more power efficient. This time Samsung seems to be doing away with its strategy of launching Galaxy S25 Series with Exynos chipset for some regions.
Since the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series launched in January 2023, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series might launch on 13th January, a week after CES that will end on 10th January.
