Samsung has come a long way since the original Samsung Galaxy Fold launched. Cut to now, it is primed to launch the Galaxy Z Fold6 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip6. Latest reports barging in suggest Samsung could opt for a titanium frame for its Galaxy Z Fold6 putting it among the first foldable phone to pull such an upgrade.

The news comes from tipster Revegnus via X (formerly Twitter) according to whom, Samsung could introduce a titanium frame on the Z Fold 6. The South Korean rolled out a titanium frame with its Galaxy S24 Ultra a few weeks after Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a titanium frame.

For the unversed, titanium is currently an appealing choice of material for both smartphone makers and enthusiastic buyers who are ready to pay a premium for the treatment. Titanium brings the curb weight of a smartphone down as well as gives it a premium feel. It also makes the phone less susceptible to damage after falling and has a high resistance against dents and scratches as demonstrated by S24 Ultra.

With that being said, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 5G could bring the same treatment. It will also bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and probably across all markets. This is especially important for us to highlight given the ongoing scoop going on in the rumor mill that Samsung could revert to an all Exynos chipsets across the S25 series.

Circling back to Z Fold6, the phone is likely to introduce a larger 4600mAh battery, a stronger Gorilla Glass Armor, and a few things over and above Galaxy Z Fold5.

The device alongside Z Flip6 is slated to arrive around mid-July 2024 although the South Korean giant has kept its mouth shut not disclosing any information on the upcoming event. We have also heard about an affordable Galaxy Z Fold6 iteration that could offer interested buyers avenues to splurge without burning holes in their pockets.
