Samsung has started rolling out the first software update for the Galaxy S25 series, bringing improvements and a key software upgrade, seamless updates. The update is now available in the US, India, and the UAE, following an initial release in Korea two weeks ago.
Update Details
The update for the Galaxy S25 carries the version number S931BXXU1AYB4 (with additional build identifiers S931BOXM1AYB4 / S931BXXU1AYB4) and weighs 658.78 MB. It includes the February security patch, replacing the previous December patch.

The Galaxy S25 is the first Galaxy S-series flagship to support A/B partitions, enabling seamless updates. This means the update installs in the background while the device remains usable, reducing downtime.

While seamless updates have been a standard feature on other Android devices for nearly a decade, Samsung only recently adopted it, first on the Galaxy A55 and now on the S25 series. The dual progress bar introduced with seamless updates ensures faster installation, eliminating long wait times at boot-up.

Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that earlier rumors suggested a massive 24 GB update, but this turned out to be false. The actual update size is just under 700 MB.
While Samsung hasn’t provided a detailed changelog, this update is expected to address camera issues and other performance-related bugs. However, real-world testing is needed to confirm these improvements.
