Samsung is preparing to hold its second Unpacked Event of 2025 in July, where it is anticipated to unveil the next-generation foldable devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to reports, the event will take place in New York City, the same location that hosted a Galaxy Unpacked Event in 2022. With the introduction of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Fold 7, Samsung aims to compete with brands such as OnePlus, Motorola, HONOR, and others.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Galaxy Z Flip 7: Details
The South Korean technology leader is set to update the Fold and Flip series with significant yet understated enhancements. While the overall design will resemble previous models, the new foldable devices are likely to feature upgraded chipsets, improved batteries, and additional enhancements. These foldables will boast slimmer designs, advanced hinge systems, and brighter displays. Furthermore, Samsung is anticipated to introduce more AI-powered functionalities, expanding on the recent Galaxy AI advancements.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature an 8.2-inch primary display and a 6.5-inch cover display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, complemented by 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Regarding its camera capabilities, it may include a 200MP main sensor and operate on One UI 8, based on Android 16, right out of the box. Additionally, design modifications could result in a more streamlined profile of just 4.5mm.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to feature a 6.85-inch internal display and a 4-inch cover display. This flip phone is likely to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 12GB of RAM. It is anticipated to house a 4300mAh battery. Regarding its camera capabilities, it may include a 50MP main sensor on the rear. The device will operate on One UI 7, built on Android 15, with early access to One UI 8.
