After a long stretch, this year Sennheiser refreshed its over-ear Momentum Wireless series. The third-generation model is the company’s premium offering packing new hardware and features. The bag of tricks includes active noise cancellation, digital voice assistant, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a host of codec support.

So, if you’re out for a high-end pair of cans, you may go over the details of Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 given below.

First things first, Sennheiser has stuck to the design language of the predecessor. You can grab it in a black paint job. The over-the-ear earcups are padded with sheep leather. Similarly, the headband also comes with cushions. When not in use, the earcups can be folded. The folding mechanism is more than aesthetics. When folded, the headphone switches off and vice versa.

The bells and whistles are apparent in certain intuitive features like the Smart Pause, which identifies when to pause and play music depending on wearing state. The presence of a digital assistant (Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri) support also comes in a similar vein. Further, there is an in-built Tile Bluetooth tracker in it. Even more, the proprietary Smart Control app lets you tweak the audio to your liking.

Specs-wise, you get Bluetooth 5, NFC, support for codecs like AAC, aptXTM, and SBC. Inside, it beats on a 42mm driver. Sennheiser vaunts a balanced depth and precision of a studio recording.
