Skoda has launched the Octavia RS in India for Rs. 49.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The company is importing only 100 completely-built units, likely to test the market’s response to a performance sedan. It’s no surprise that all the units have already been booked, as the bookings for the vehicle began on October 6, 2025.

The Octavia RS is available in only one variant, which is fully imported to India, and it costs Rs. 49.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), making it more expensive than the prior-generation Octavia RS 245. The on-road price of the vehicle could be around Rs. 55 lakhs, depending on the state laws in the city.

Skoda Octavia RS: Powertrain & Performance

The Octavia RS is a performance-oriented sedan, featuring Volkswagen Group’s EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. It generates a maximum power of 265 hp and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The engine is paired with a single transmission option: a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DSG).

With its powerful engine, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. The front-wheel-drive Skoda also features a sports exhaust system, although the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) feature is not included.

The Octavia RS features a sporty body kit with chiselled bumpers, RS badging for distinct branding, blacked-out trims, 19-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, and a lip spoiler at the rear. It is available in the following colors: Candy White, Magic Black, Mamba Green, Race Blue, and Velvet Red.

On the inside, the vehicle gets an all-black cabin with red contrast stitching, sports seats for enhanced driving comfort, an RS-spec flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen (with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), and a 10.25-inch digital cluster, an 11-speaker Canton sound system, a 360-degree camera system, and heated/powered front suits with massage function.

Skoda Octavia RS: Booking & Delivery

The order books for the performance sedan have been open since October 6, 2025, and deliveries are expected to begin soon now that the vehicle has been launched.
