Smartphones launching in September 2022 in India

The month of August 2022 saw brands like OnePlus and Samsung launching their high-end devices like the OnePlus 10T & Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, along with brands like Realme came up with Realme 9i 5G, which are budget offerings. September 2022 will be even more interesting as Apple will launch the iPhone 14 Series. Poco will also come up with M5 while Motorola will launch a 200MP camera sensor smartphone. Here are all the smartphones that are confirmed/expected to launch in India in September 2022.

1. iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Max

Apple will launch the iPhone 14 Series on 7th September. This time around, the brand is expected to replace the Mini variant with the Max variant. The new iPhone 14 Max will reportedly have a 6.7-inch Display but will be cheaper than the Pro models. iPhone 14 base model will sport a 6.1-inch display.

Both these phones will be powered by an A15 Bionic chipset and have a 60Hz refresh rate, dual rear camera, and a 12MP selfie camera.

2. iPhone 14 Pro & iPhone 14 Pro Max

The iPhone 14 Series will have 2 Pro variants- iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. These two are expected to be powered by an A16 Bionic chipset and have a 120Hz refresh rate along with an LTPO panel.

Both the pro variants will have LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of storage. In terms of camera setup, they will have a 48MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 12MP telephoto lens at the back.

3. Moto Edge 30 Ultra

Motorola is coming up with 3 new smartphones in India on 8th September. These devices will include a premium Moto Edge 30 Ultra that is expected to come with a 200MP main camera sensor, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and 144Hz refresh rate.

This premium phone will reportedly have a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display with 512GB storage and 125W fast charging support. Apart from this one, two more devices are also expected to launch.

4. Motorola Edge 30 Fusion & Edge 30 Lite

Both these smartphones are also expected to launch in India on 8th September. The Moto Edge 30 Fusion will be the rebranded version of the Moto S30 Pro while the Moto Edge 30 Lite will be a new model.

The Moto Edge 30 Fusion is claimed to be powered by the Snapdragon 888+ chipset along with a 6.55-inch FHD+ display, P-OLED 144Hz refresh rate, triple camera setup at the back, and 68W fast charging support. It will pack a 4400mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Moto Edge 30 Lite will be the most affordable smartphone out of the 3. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset along with a 6.28-inch P-OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 32MP front camera, and a dual camera setup at the back ( 64MP+13MP).

5. JioPhone 5G

The most affordable smartphone in the list of upcoming 5G devices is the next from Jio, the JioPhone 5G. Although it is not clear when Reliance will launch it, whenever it comes, the phone will have a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display along with Snapdragon 480 chipset. It is expected to have 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

In terms of camera, the JioPhone 5G will have a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP main and 2MP additional camera. It will pack a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and run PragatiOS which has been made in partnership with Google. The smartphone is expected to cost under Rs. 10,000.

6. Poco M5 4G

Poco has not confirmed any launch date for the arrival of the M5 4G in India. It is expected to come out this month and will be a successor to the Poco M4 Pro.

The Poco M5 4G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and priced under Rs. 15000. The smartphone is said to sport a 6.58-inch FHD+ 90Hz display along with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will reportedly pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

7. Realme GT Neo 3T

Realme GT Neo 3T is being talked about for a few months now and recently in a chat session on Twitter, the company’s CEO Madhav Seth confirmed the 2022 launch of this smartphone.

Realme GT Neo 3T will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor along with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will sport a 6.62-inchFJD+ 120Hz refresh rate display, triple camera rear setup (64MP+8MP+2MP), and 80W fast charging support.

8. Xiaomi 12 Lite

Xiaomi 12 Lite is being waited for in India for a while now. This smartphone is expected to arrive in India in September and it will be a mid-range device priced at around Rs. 30,000.

Xiaomi 12 Lite will be powered by Snapdragon 778G chipset and feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, 108MP primary camera, and 67W fast charging.

9. Asus ROG Phone 6G Ultimate

Asus has confirmed that it will launch the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate on 19 September in the global markets. It has been confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It will come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and have 165Hz refresh rate.

10. iQOO Z6 Lite

iQOO might come up with a new phone in the Z6 series. iQOO Z6 Lite will be a mid-range device that will sport a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display, 90Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP main camera setup at the rear.

The smartphone is expected to have an 8MP front camera along with a 5000mAh battery and, 18W fast charging. It will not have 5G support.

11. Redmi 11 Prime 5G

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch the Redmi 11 Prime 5G on 6th September in India. The smartphone will sport a 6.58-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD display and be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It will have LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage along with a dual camera setup on the rear. It will have a 5MP selfie camera and run MIUI packing a 5000mAh battery under the hood. It will have support for 18W wired fast charging.
