CPU: 1+3+2+2 configuration with one Cortex-X4 prime core at 3.20 GHz, three Cortex-A720 performance cores at 3.00 GHz, two A720 cores at 2.80 GHz, and two A720 efficiency cores at 2.02 GHz. It delivers a 31% CPU performance boost and 39% better power efficiency compared to the 8s Gen 3.
GPU: Adreno 825, offering a 49% graphics performance improvement over the 8s Gen 3, though it falls short of the Adreno 830 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Manufacturing Process: Built on TSMC’s 4nm N4P node, prioritizing cost over the 3nm process used in the 8 Gen 4, with optimizations for better thermals.
AI: Up to 44% better on-device AI performance, supporting image recognition, voice commands, and real-time translation.

Camera: Supports up to a 320MP single sensor, 8K HDR video playback at 60FPS, 4K HDR video capture at 60FPS, and 4K 120FPS slow-motion video at 480FPS.
Connectivity: Sub-6 GHz 5G modem with 4.2 Gbps downlink speeds (no mmWave support), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UFS 4.0 storage, and LPDDR5X RAM at 4,800MHz.
Additional Features: Supports 4K 60FPS HDR10+ display, 10-bit color depth, 5-axis stabilization for video, and Qualcomm’s Secure Management Engine for enhanced security.

The 8s Gen 4 skips Qualcomm’s custom Oryon cores, sticking to Kryo architecture with ARM cores, a decision that keeps costs down but limits raw power compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which scored around 3 million on AnTuTu versus the 8s Gen 4’s 2 million.

Why Not Snapdragon 8s Elite?
Despite earlier rumors of a “Snapdragon 8s Elite” branding—mirroring the 8 Elite—the official name sticks to “8s Gen 4.” This choice likely avoids confusion with the flagship 8 Elite, but then it takes away the naming consistency.
