Qualcomm has officially unveiled the dates for the highly anticipated Snapdragon Summit 2023. Unlike previous years, the summit is scheduled to be held in October, slightly earlier than usual. Last year, the tech giant hosted the event in November, deviating from its traditional December timeline. Read on to discover more about this exciting announcement.

The Snapdragon Summit 2023 is scheduled to take place from October 22 to October 26 in Maui, Hawaii. Industry experts and enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the launch of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, as well as Qualcomm’s custom-built PC chip, the Oryon CPU, which was announced last year. This could potentially deliver a significant performance and efficiency boost to Arm-based Windows 11 laptops in 2024.

According to previous leaks, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, internally referred to as “SM8650,” is rumored to feature a powerful Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at 3.7GHz, accompanied by 5 performance cores and 2 efficiency cores. These enhancements are expected to bring substantial performance improvements over its predecessor. The chipset will adopt a new 1+5+2 CPU architecture, departing from the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset’s 1+4+3 configuration.

Furthermore, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will deliver an enhanced graphical experience when paired with the Adreno 750 GPU. It is projected to be based on TSMC’s advanced 4nm process with N4P Node, which offers improved power efficiency.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is poised to power most of the flagship devices in 2024, with the first devices potentially hitting the market in November. This includes anticipated smartphones such as the Xiaomi 14, OnePlus 12, Galaxy S24 series, as well as offerings from Motorola, iQOO, Realme, and more. It’s worth noting that some late 2023 devices may also feature this cutting-edge chipset.

While further details about the upcoming Snapdragon chipset remain undisclosed, more information is expected to emerge as the launch date draws near. We will keep you informed as soon as we receive any updates. In the meantime, feel free to share your thoughts on the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in the comments section below.
