TL; DR
- A new leak shows the Galaxy S26 Ultra in real life, including the retail box, setup process, and early photos.
- A hands-on video also showcases the new Privacy Display feature designed to limit viewing angles.
- Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, alongside new Galaxy Buds.
Images of what appears to be the Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced online ahead of Samsung’s upcoming launch event. X (formerly Twitter) user Sahil Karol shared several posts showing the device, including the retail box, the initial setup screen, and early hands-on video of the Privacy Display.
The first image shows a sealed retail box with a 24-month warranty sticker labeled “for Africa.” The packaging matches Samsung’s recent minimalist box design, which suggests the unit could be genuine retail stock. According to Sahil’s own posts, some shopkeepers in Dubai may already have inventory ahead of the official announcement.
Shortly after sharing the box photo, Sahil posted another update while setting up the phone. He mentioned that he was replacing his Galaxy S25 Ultra with the new device, which gave us the first glimpse of the setup process.
The hands-on images give a clearer look at the phone’s design. Samsung appears to keep the familiar Ultra layout, including the separated rear camera rings. The device was also photographed next to several flagship phones including the iPhone 17 Pro, vivo X300 Pro, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and OPPO Find X9 Pro. Those comparisons offer a rough idea of the phone’s size and proportions.

First Look At Privacy Display in Action
He also shared a hands-on demo of S26 Ultra’s new flagship feature called Privacy Display. The menu shows two options: a standard toggle and another labeled Maximum privacy protection. When enabled, the screen becomes difficult to view from side angles while remaining clear when looked at straight on.
Samsung also adds several customization options for the Privacy Display. “Partial screen privacy” hides notification popups from side angles while the rest of the screen stays visible, and you can also choose which apps use Privacy Display by default.
The phone also turns the feature on when you enter a PIN, password, or pattern on the lock screen, in system settings, or inside Secure Folder, while fingerprint and face unlock keep it turned off.
Galaxy S26 Ultra Benchmarks
Sahil didn’t just stop there. He also shared benchmarks of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy inside the S26 Ultra. And the numbers are mostly in line with what we’ve seen on other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagships.

Samsung is set to officially announce the Galaxy S26 lineup on February 25, 2026, with the livestream starting at 11:30 p.m. IST. The event is expected to introduce the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro.
