The Bravia 8 II sits at the top of Sony’s 2025 Bravia TV lineup, which consists of two other models.
In April, Sony refreshed the Bravia TV lineup with the Sony Bravia 2 II (affordable), Sony Bravia 5 (mid-range), and Sony Bravia 8 II (high-end) televisions in the global markets. Out of these, the company revealed the Sony Bravia 2 II in India in May 2025, with a starting price of Rs. 50,990.

Sony Bravia 8 II Features

First and foremost, the Bravia 8 II is available in two screen sizes: 55 inches and 65 inches. Both models are equipped with a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) OLED panel that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz. Given that the OLED TV features eight million self-illuminating pixels, it produces deep, true blacks and brighter whites, resulting in an infinite contrast ratio.
The Bravia 8 II features several display-related features, including a Studio Calibrated Mode for producing accurate colors as intended by the filmmaker, dedicated streaming modes from services like Prime Video, Netflix, and Sony Pictures Core, and support for high-dynamic formats like HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision. The television also comes with IMAX Enhanced certification for an immersive cinematic experience.
Under the hood, Sony’s flagship television houses the XR processor, which powers features like XR Contrast Booster 25 for enhanced contrast, XR Triluminous Max and Live Color for making the picture appear more vibrant and realistic, XR Clear Image for increased clarity and decreased noise (especially in fast-moving scenes), and XR OLED Motion for smoother on-screen motion.

The latest Bravia television also offers 4K at up to 120 fps, including support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), making the television ideal for gaming with the PlayStation 5. You also get Auto HDR Tone Mapping and a dedicated Game Menu, which lets you toggle the related settings with ease. The television also provides complementary access to Sony Pictures Core (10 free credits for 4K Blu-Ray streaming over 24 months).
While those were the display-related accolades of the Sony Bravia 8 II television, it also features a capable audio system that comprises two actuators (15W each) and two subwoofers (10W each), resulting in a total sound output of 50W. You also get Acoustic Surface Audio+, a technology that turns the entire screen into a speaker, making it appear as if the sound is coming directly from the source.
In addition, the speakers support Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos, DTS Digital Surround, DTS Express, and DTS-HD Master/High-Resolution Audio, along with DTS:X. Other audio-related features include room and user position compensation, Voice Zoom 3, 3D surround upscaling, Acoustic Center Sync with Sony-compatible soundbars, and 360-degree spatial audio via Bluetooth.
