It sits between the company’s global lineup for 2025, including the Bravia 2 II (the most affordable model) and the Bravia 8 II (which sits at the premium end of the spectrum). Display

Based on an LCD, the Mini LED display comprises a large number of tiny LEDs that enhance brightness, contrast, and overall picture quality. This also increases the number of local dimming zones, enabling precise control over light and color.
Processor
Under the hood, the Bravia 5 features Sony’s AI Processor XR, which unlocks several display-related features. For instance, there’s the XR Backlight Master Drive feature, which delivers brighter highlights and deeper blacks, making the on-screen content appear more natural. Then there’s XR Contrast Booster 10, which elevates the overall contrast of the content.
