TL; DR
  • Sony has launched the BRAVIA 7 II in India with True RGB Mini LED technology.
  • The 55-inch and 65-inch models are available from May 28 at ₹2,21,990 and ₹2,74,990, respectively.
  • The 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch variants will arrive by the end of July 2026.

The Japanese consumer tech giant Sony has launched the BRAVIA 7 II series in India. The headline feature here is True RGB, which is powered by Sony’s RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro. It independently controls red, green, and blue LEDs in the backlight, which is a meaningful departure from conventional Mini LED displays.

The result is more accurate and vibrant color reproduction, reduced blooming around bright objects (known issue with cheaper TVs), and deeper blacks (not as good as OLED, but still quite good).

Sony’s BRAVIA 7 II: Key Features

Apart from the True RGB Mini LED panel technology, the BRAVIA 7 II features Cognitive Processing XR, which handles the picture processing, replicating how human eyes perceive contrast and detail. Then there’s XR Contrast Booster 20, which handles brightness and shadow balance, while the XR Motion Clarity feature keeps fast-moving content sharp.

The television also supports a variety of HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and IMAX Enhanced. It also offers studio-calibrated modes for OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Sony Pictures Core, something that might attract enthusiastic buyers toward the flagship lineup.

Those who enjoy console gaming get 4K resolution at 120 fps (via HDMI 2.1), VRR, ALLM, Dolby Vision Gaming, and the best PS5 integration on a television with Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode. X-Wide Angle Pro, found on the 65-inch and above materials, maintains color and contrast accuracy, especially from the off-center seating positions.
