Sony brings WF-1000XM4 earbuds to India with noise-canceling, V1 Processor & LDAC codec

Sony launched its flagship TWS earbuds WF-1000XM4 last year in June 2021. After almost 6 months of its global launch, Sony has brought these buds to India. The Sony WF-1000XM4 buds will support both Android phones and iPhones and come with a companion app called Sony Headphone Connect.

The Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS earbuds will be available from January 16th for Rs. 19,990 in India. It will be available across both online and offline channels and come in 2 color options- Silver and Black.

Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS earbuds specs

These TWS earbuds are powered by the new integrated processor V1 and offer support for the LDAC codec. The WF-1000XM4 is rated to deliver clear audio during calls, a beamforming microphone, and a bone-conduction sensor for clear voice detection in noisy environments. There is support for Sony’s 360 Reality Audio sound format and IPX4 water resistance.

These earbuds offer good noise cancellation with adaptive sound control, app support through Sony Headphone Connect, and features like Speak-to-Chat and Quick Attention Mode.

The Sony WF-1000XM4 has a 6nm driver unit that offers a 20% increase in magnet volume and also has Bluetooth 5.2 support for wireless audio connectivity. On a single charge, TWS is rated to last up to 8 hours with ANC and up to 12 hours with ANC off. You also get 3 cycles of charge with a charging case which makes it 32 hours with ANC on. A 5-minute charge will offer an hour of playback too.

Other specs include Qi wireless charging support, built-in Alexa, and support for Google Assistant and Google Fast Pair for supported Android devices.
