Sony has officially teased its next flagship true wireless earbuds, the WF-1000XM6. The company posted a short teaser video on YouTube and called them the “next generation of earbuds,” while confirming the full launch event for February 12, 2026, at 16:00 UTC. That converts to 8 AM PT, 11 AM ET, and 9:30 PM IST.
The teaser stays short and vague, but it clearly shows a new design. The earbuds look flatter and more compact than the WF-1000XM5, with a pill-shaped body instead of the older rounded profile. Sony also seems to have slimmed down the charging case.

The video also hints at small hardware changes, including what looks like an extra microphone grille. This could connect to call quality improvements or stronger ANC processing, though Sony hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
This teaser lines up with recent leaks that suggested Sony planned a design refresh for comfort and fit, along with new colors. Earlier reports mentioned black and silver, along with a possible Sandpink option.

Sony launched the WF-1000XM5 in 2023, so this update fits the brand’s usual 2 to 3-year refresh cycle for its premium earbuds. Sony will likely reveal the full specs, pricing, and availability during the February 12 event.
