Today, Sony India announced four new TV series as part of the Bravia FY24 lineup. The series consists of Bravia 9, Bravia 8, Bravia 7, and Bravia 3 smart TVs. The new TV models offer advanced features like Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and 360-degree Spatial sound mapping. The company held an event to launch the new TV series, revealing some industry trends and announcing the new brand ambassador.

As part of its “Cinema is Coming Home” campaign, Sony India has roped in the Indian film director S.S. Rajamouli as its brand ambassador. “I wholeheartedly endorse Sony’s ‘Cinema is Coming Home’ concept, as it resonates with my vision as a filmmaker,” says Rajamouli at the occasion. He further adds, “This concept redefines the home viewing experience, enabling audiences to truly immerse themselves in the authentic essence of cinema.”

With exceptional picture and sound quality, the new Bravia TV series takes over the competition by delivering a more immersive video and audio experience. Further, the company has collaborated with streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Sony Pictures Core to facilitate Studio Calibration. This video mode shows the colors exactly as the creators intended them.

Last but not least, Sony India has implemented technologies like IMAX Enhances, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. Together, these three features let Sony Bravia users experience a cinema-like experience from the comfort of their living room. Along with the new features, Sony India also revealed some data points, stating that the consumer’s preferences are shifting toward big-screen premium TVs that cost more.

The new Sony Bravia 2024 4K TVs run on the company’s XR processor. Featuring OLED panel technology, the TVs feature Backlit MasterDrive with high peak luminance, supreme contrast, and natural colors. Further, television models sport 360-degree spatial sound mapping technology, which allows them to customize the sound according to the surroundings in which they are placed.

While the official press release doesn’t mention more details about the televisions, we’re expecting the model-wise details and prices to be out in a few days. Along with the new televisions, the company has also announced the Bravia Theater Bar 8, Bravia Theater Bar 9, and Bravia Theater Quad soundbars for a surround sound experience similar to the movie theaters.

Sony India is also running several promotional offers across its products. As part of the Diwali sale, the company offers a three-year comprehensive warranty on select Bravia TV models, one free EMI on a select range of models, and a single combo EMI scheme for televisions and soundbars starting from Rs. 2,995.
