Sony has launched the RX1R III in India, giving you a compact full-frame camera that packs some serious power. It features a 61 MP Exmor R CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ XR processor, along with a fixed ZEISS Sonnar T 35 mm F2 lens. Sony says that the setup delivers excellent detail, wide dynamic range, and low noise while keeping the body small and travel-friendly.
The RX1R III now includes an AI-based real-time recognition autofocus system. It identifies and tracks humans, animals, birds, cars, and aircraft with 693 phase-detection points that cover about 78% of the frame.

You can switch between three focal lengths, including 35 mm, 50 mm, and 70 mm, using the Step Crop Shooting function, and reselect them later when editing RAW files. The macro ring lets you shoot as close as 20 cm with up to 0.26X magnification.
You also get 12 Creative Looks, including FL2 for a nostalgic tone and FL3 for a vibrant look. The magnesium-alloy body feels solid yet light, with a redesigned flat-top layout, improved grip, and an OLED electronic viewfinder with 2.36 million dots and 0.70X magnification.
The RX1R III supports USB-C PD fast charging and gives you up to 300 shots per charge using the NP-FW50 battery. It also aligns with Sony’s “Road to Zero” sustainability initiative by using renewable energy in production and eco-friendly packaging made from blended natural materials.
