Hyundai is getting ready for the EV launch and its first EV product, Hyundai Creta EV, was recently caught on the roads alongside the Tata Nexon EV. Reportedly to be available in the market by 2025, the Creta EV will directly compete with vehicles like the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE. 05 M-link, Maruti eVX, and Toyota experience of eVX. Furthermore, styling-wise, the Creta EV is nearly indistinguishable from the ICE version with subtle changes made for the electric vehicle powertrain.

Clear distinctions are recognizable: a combined grille is missing; new front and rear bumpers; and a charging point that advocates an ecological lifestyle. The front bumper gets new horizontal positioned LED positioning lamps and daytime running lights (DRLs) along with sequential turn signals and a new aggressively, layered bonnet.

On the sides, the Creta EV sports a new set of aerodynamic alloy wheels to enhance its partially trimmed air drag coefficient for greater range. Incorporated at the back is an integrated LED sporting tail lamps, sequential turn signals, and a flowing spoiler hosting a high-mounted LED stop lamp. Identically, inside the cabin, the Creta EV retains most design elements from the ICE model though with several cues that highlight it as an electric model.

The features never seen before are as follows: the dynamic and cool looking steering wheel similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the smart voice-interpreter of the panoramic sunroof, integrated displays for both infotainment and instrument cluster, ventilated seat in the front, automatic climate control, and the acoustic configuration of the Bose premium system. Safety should be considered as extensive, while hints at advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) might be observed in the presence of radar in bumpers.

In terms of performance, the Creta EV looks to offer thrill to its users on par with the ICE model of the vehicle. The vehicle is said to be powered by a 45-kWh battery pack, and its range before it needs a recharge is expected to be 450 km, which could be as low as 250-300 km in real life. Additionally, there is an improved regenerative braking system, which serves to improve on the efficiency of the vehicle. The new Creta EV should also be underpinned by the same front-wheel-drive e-CMP platform, and it may be equipped with a single electric motor seen on the new gen Kona, with 138 hp and 255 Nm of torque. Suggestions for fast charging support suggest that charging time is progressing towards the quicker side, thus enhancing the convenience factor with regard to the cars’ owners.

Some basic factors like top speed, acceleration, and recharging capabilities of the car are still unknown, the company in partnership with Exide Battery, a leading manufacturer of batteries will offer localization of batteries in future with possible better offers in future models of EVs they will be offering. however more information regarding the Hyundai Creta EV is still expected to surface in next few months from now with the revelation of more secrets regarding this novel electric SUV.
