Mahindra XUV 3XO Update

Release Date: Early July
The Indian automaker Mahindra announced an update to its popular mid-sized SUV for July: the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Although there’s scarce information about the upcoming refresh, we speculate that Mahindra could rejig the XUV 3XO lineup, redistributing the features and prices across variants.
So, while we might get the same engine options, including a 1.2L turbo petrol engine, a 1.2L TGDi turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5L diesel engine, Mahindra could either bring down some features to lower trims for a slight price increase, or it might discontinue specific variants to streamline the variant and increase the revenue/profit.
Kia Carens Clavis EV
Release Date: July 15, 2025
After months of rumors, the Korean automaker Kia has finally teased the Carens Clavis EV, confirming its existence. While the vehicle doesn’t look all that different from the ICE Carens Clavis, it has received some cosmetic updates.
Kia hasn’t revealed much about the EV, except that it will offer a claimed range of 490 kilometers. Reports suggest that the Clavis EV will get two NMC battery packs (shared with the Creta Electric): 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. In my opinion, it could be the larger battery pack that offers the advertised range.
The Clavis EV could also share its electric motor (171 HP and 255 Nm) with the Creta Electric. Regarding the cosmetic changes I mentioned, the EV features a slightly different front bumper (with the charging socket), aerodynamic alloy wheels, a floating dashboard design on the inside, and ample storage space.
While the teaser only shows the Clavis EV in a seven-seater configuration, a six-seater option may also be available. The vehicle has been announced, but the prices will be revealed on July 15, 2025. We expect the EV to cost above Rs. 18 lakhs.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
Release Timeline: Mid-July
In April, several reports suggested that the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe facelift would launch in India around the middle of 2025. We’re now hearing that the vehicle may be released in July 2025.
Providing a brief overview of the vehicle, it features a more compact version of the iconic BMW nose grill, which makes the car look sporty. The peeled-black headlamps, bigger wheel arches, a coupe-shaped roofline, and angled tail-light clusters give the vehicle a sleek and refined look.
Inside, the cabin features a curved infotainment screen (toward the driver seat), plenty of ambient lighting, along with red and black interiors. In addition to aesthetic changes, the vehicle claims to offer a significant improvement in its driving dynamics.
Under its hood, the 2 Series Gran Coupe could feature a three-cylinder 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine (paired with mild-hybrid technology) that produces a peak power of 170 hp and a peak torque of 280 Nm. Last but not least, the vehicle could debut in India at around Rs. 50 lakhs (ex-showroom) or possibly lower.

First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, the MG M9 will launch as an electric luxurious MPV. The EV will feature a 90 kWh battery pack paired to a motor that produces 245 hp of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Regarding range, the eMPV claims to have a range of up to 548 kilometers between charges. However, the actual range in the real world could be drastically different.
Some key features of the MPV include Level 2 ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, and second-row captain seats with functionalities such as heating, ventilation, powered adjustments (including a leg rest), and an in-built massage feature. The MG M9 won’t lack in terms of looks either, with a sleek front bumper and boxy rear, large alloy wheels, and an all-black finish.
The upcoming MG M9 could cost around Rs. 70 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India.
MG Cyberster
Expected Release: July
Recent reports suggest that the Cyberster has reached several MG Select dealerships, hinting at an imminent launch. Showrooms are reportedly accepting a token amount of Rs. 51,000 for reserving a unit of the Cyberster for customers.
The MG Cyberster will be available in two variants: one with a 64 kWh battery pack that produces 320 HP of peak power and 475 Nm of peak torque, and another with a 99 kWh battery pack that powers an all-wheel-drive powertrain that produces 535 HP of peak power and 725 Nm of peak torque.
Besides a capable powertrain, the MG Cyberster is gaining traction due to its design. The EV features two scissor doors, a sleek front bumper with LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, a cockpit-styled cabin design, and Level 2 ADAS features. The car could carry a hefty price tag of around Rs. 80 lakhs (ex-showroom).
