Upcoming Smartphones in July 2025
July 2025 is going to be an exciting month for smartphone enthusiasts. We have phones launching in all shapes and sizes, ranging from compact flagships to ones with unique back panels and even tablet-sized foldables. Brands like Nothing, Oppo, OnePlus, Samsung, Motorola, Infinix, realme, and vivo are launching new handsets (including popular foldables), keeping fans and newsrooms busy throughout the month.
Without any further ado, let’s dive into the list of upcoming smartphones in July 2025.
1. Nothing Phone (3)

Launch Date: July 1, 2025
Kicking off the month of July is one of the most anticipated handsets of 2025: the Nothing Phone (3). The smartphone was a rumor until a few weeks ago when the Carl Pei-led startup confirmed it and then finally announced its release date.
As seen in the recent renders, the Phone (3) will feature a rather weird design, with an awkward placement of the three camera sensors on the back panel and a dot-matrix display at the top right corner. Yes, the company has bid farewell to the iconic Glyph Interface (at least from its number series).
With regards to specifications, the Nothing Phone (3) is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen, confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (4nm) chipset, and a triple camera setup (wherein the primary and the ultrawide camera are borrowed from the predecessor and there’s a new 3x periscope zoom lens).
Last but not least, the phone is said to sport a 5,150 mAh battery. Regarding price, we expect the Phone (3) to cost between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 50,000 in India and approximately $600 in the United States.

2. Oppo Reno 14 Series

Launch Date: July 3, 2025
Roughly two days after the Phont (3)’s launch, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo will reveal its Reno 14 series. The series comprises two handsets: the vanilla Reno 14 5G and the Reno 14 Pro 5G; both will break cover on July 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM IST.
First up, the standard Reno 14 5G will feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen, run on the Dimensity 8350 (4nm) chipset, a triple-rear camera setup (two 50MP sensors and one 8MP sensor), as well as a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G will feature a slightly larger 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, run on the Dimensity 8450 (4nm) SoC, and a 6,200 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging. Interestingly, the Indian version of the handset will feature a 50MP quad-camera setup.
Both phones will also offer multiple AI-based features, such as AI Livephoto 2.0, AI Style Transfer, AI Perfect Shot, AI Editor 2.0, AI Recompose, and AI Voice Enhancer. The handsets’ microsites are also live on Oppo’s website, along with Amazon and Flipkart.
Currently, the Reno 13 costs Rs. 29,999 for the baseline variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Reno 13 Pro costs Rs. 49,999. If we were to speculate, the Reno 14 could debut around Rs. 35,000, while the Reno 14 Pro could cost approximately Rs. 50,000 (excluding introductory offers).

3. OnePlus Nord 5 & Nord CE 5

Launch Date: July 8, 2025
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will also release its Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 handsets in July. Along with the smartphones, the company will also unveil the OnePlus Buds 4, which will include dual drivers, support for Hi-Res LHDC 5.0, and 3D spatial audio.
Among the OnePlus Nord 5’s key specifications include a flat AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The brand has already confirmed the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 as the chipset of choice for the Nord 5, along with LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, the smartphone will support Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) at 90fps (up to 144fps with frame interpolation).
The OnePlus Nord 5 will offer two rear cameras: a 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 front camera with hardware autofocus. With the capable sensors and ISP, the handset can record 4K60 videos. Although the company hasn’t confirmed it, the handset could feature a 5,200 mAh battery that supports 80W fast wired charging.
Talking about the Nord CE 5, it might feature a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, run on the Dimensity 8350 chipset (with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage), sport a 50MP primary camera, and a massive 7,100 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging. While the Nord 5 5G could cost around Rs. 35,000, the Nord CE 5 5G may be priced around Rs. 24,999.

4. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 / Flip 7

Launch Date: July 9
So far, we’ve discussed about five upcoming smartphones in July 2025. However, all of them are conventional, brick-style handsets. You may have already heard about it, but the Korean tech giant Samsung is set to unveil its next-generation foldables on July 9, 2025. These will most certainly be the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and a new entrant to the lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
We already have a detailed roundup of the upcoming foldables live on our website. To give you a brief idea, the Fold 7 and Flip 7 will both feature larger cover and internal screens and run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite (for Galaxy) chipset. While the Fold 7 is expected to be thinner than the Fold 6, it should also borrow the S25 Ultra’s 200MP primary camera.
On the other hand, the Flip 7 might feature a slightly larger battery than the Flip 6. Apart from these two foldables, Samsung is also rumored to launch a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which, for all intents and purposes, could be a rebadged Galaxy Z Flip 6 but with an Exynos chip (likely the Exynos 2500). We’ve covered the rumors about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE here.
All smartphones should be released with Samsung’s One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, featuring a couple of new Galaxy AI tools. As the company already increased the prices of its foldable last year by $100, it wouldn’t make much sense to raise it again this year. For those catching up, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 costs $1,890 or Rs. 1,64,999, while the Flip 6 is available at $1,100 or Rs. 1,09,999.

5. Infinix Hot 60 5G

Expected Launch: Mid-July
This could be another series from the Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer. The Infinix Hot 60 series might consist of two smartphones: the standard Infinix Hot 60 5G and the Hot 60 Pro+ (those are the two phones we’ve heard rumors about so far).
The Hot 60 5G could feature a 6.74-inch LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery. Furthermore, the phone is expected to cost around Rs. 15,000 in India.
The Hot 60 Pro+, on the other hand, will compete with the Galaxy S25 Edge, boasting a 5.95mm thin side profile while also featuring a 5,160 mAh battery (significantly larger than the 3,900 mAh battery on the S25 Edge). Given that Infinix has been quite active in the Indian market, there’s a good chance that these handsets could come to India.
6. Motorola G96 5G & G86 5G

Expected Launch: Mid-July
The Lenovo-owned smartphone brand Motorola is also preparing for a launch in July. With a teaser of a new smartphone “coming soon,” the brand is probably hinting at the arrival of the Motorola G96 5G. The e-commerce platform Flipkart has also published a microsite for the handset, which does not include any details except that the phone will feature a Snapdragon chipset.
According to rumors, the Motorola G96 5G is expected to feature a 6.67-inch pOLED curved screen, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,500 mAh battery that will likely support fast wired charging. In addition, the phone might be available in four colors and multiple storage variants.
There’s another Motorola handset that could break cover in July 2025: the G86 5G. Rumors suggest that the phone will feature a 6.67-inch pOLED screen, run on the Dimensity 7300 SoC, and include a 50MP primary Sony camera. It is also expected to boast a massive 6,720 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging.
While the Motorola G96 5G could be priced at around Rs. 20,000, the Motorola G86 5G could cost buyers around Rs. 15,000.
7. realme 15 Series

Expected Launch: July
July could also witness the launch of realme new numbered series. Earlier in June, reports about the realme 15 series started surfacing online, hinting at the arrival of either one or more handsets from the series to India in July.
Although we don’t know much about the series, it will surely consist of multiple models, similar to the realme 14 series. We’ve heard the model numbers for the realme 15 Lite (RMX5000), the realme 15 Pro (RMX5101), and the realme 15 5G (RMX5106).
More details about the handsets should surface in the days.
8. Vivo X200 FE

Expected Launch: Mid-July
Given that OnePlus has launched its compact flagship in India, its sister company, vivo, is also eyeing to jump on the bandwagon with the X200 FE. While the company has officially teased the handset through its Indian social media handles, we don’t have a release date yet.
The vivo X200 FE has a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, runs on the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP 3x periscope zoom lens (both with ZEISS optics), a 6,500 mAh battery (larger than the 5,850 mAh battery on the OnePlus 13s), and an IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance rating.
In India, vivo might launch the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which could cost around Rs. 50,000.

9. Vivo X Fold 5

Expected Launch: July
Most recently, vivo launched the X Fold 5 in its native Chinese market. However, reports also suggest that the foldable will arrive in India sometime in July (likely in the middle of the month).
The vivo X Fold 5 packs a 6.53-inch LTPO cover screen, an 8.03-inch LTPO foldable screen (both of which support 120Hz refresh rate), runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset (which is a bit odd, considering there are several more powerful options on the market), and features a triple-rear camera setup (all 50MP sensors with ZEISS optics).
The foldable houses a 6,000 mAh battery, which already gives the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 a run for its money (since it is expected to debut with a smaller battery). Additionally, the phone supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
