In recent years, Apple’s new launches are often accompanied by bugs or issues. However, the company quickly resolves them. Users faced overheating issues with the iPhone 15 Pro, which the company claims to have addressed and fixed with the iOS 17.0.3. Now, some Apple Watch owners are reporting facing a screen-related issue.

Apple Watch Screen Flickering

A hot minute after releasing the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2, the Cupertino-based tech giant is investigating an issue with these devices. According to a report by MacRumors, users are experiencing a screen flickering issue with always-on mode. Users have reported the issue on several forums, including Reddit and Apple Support Community. The problem, per the publication, seems to exist on all watchOS 10 versions, including watchOS 10.0.2.

The publication cites an internal service memo shared with Apple’s authorized service providers. Although the service memo doesn’t specify which Apple Watch models are suffering from the issue, it is prevalent in the company’s latest models. In the memo, Apple has asked service providers to refrain from repairing the issue and suggest customers keep their Apple Watch up to date.

Apple Could Fix The Issue With A Software Update

From what it looks like, Apple will fix this issue with an upcoming software update. The company is already working on watchOS 10.1, which is about to release next week. However, whether the screen flickering issue has been fixed is not known. As a temporary solution, users can turn off the always-on mode on their Apple Watch.

Apart from the screen flickering issue on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2, the company is also working on a problem where Activity rings, on the home watch face, might “temporarily turn pink.”
