  • Elite model features Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
  • Zeiss cameras with 50MP telephoto and OIS.

vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its next-generation V-series in India, and it looks like the company is done playing the middle ground. The Vivo V70 and the brand-new Vivo V70 Elite are scheduled to debut on February 19 at 12 PM, which we exclusively reported earlier last month. With this launch vivo is bringing flagship-tier silicon and an unprecedented battery capacity to the sub-₹50,000 segment.

This launch marks a significant pivot for the V-series. While previous models focused heavily on “slimness” and selfies, the V70 series is pivoting toward “hardcore” utility without losing its aesthetic edge.
For the first time, Vivo is introducing an Elite model to the V-series lineup. This isn’t just a marketing name; it represents a major jump in processing power.

The “Elite” Shift: Snapdragon 8-Series Arrives

As we earlier reported, the Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This chip bridges the gap between mid-range and true flagships, promising AnTuTu scores north of 1.8 million.

Both phones will utilize high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring that the speed isn’t bottlenecked by older hardware standards, a common issue in mid-range devices.

vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its next-generation V-series in India, signaling a move away from the mid-range market. The vivo V70 and V70 Elite are set to debut on February 19 at 12 PM, as we reported exclusively. This launch brings flagship-level processors and a massive battery to the sub-₹50,000 segment.

6,500mAh: A New Battery Benchmark

Perhaps the most startling spec is the 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery. Vivo has managed to cram a cell larger than most “Ultra” flagships into a body that maintains the V-series’ signature “Golden Grip” (6.59-inch size).

To sweeten the deal, the series supports 90W FlashCharge, addressing the main pain point of high-capacity batteries: long wait times. This combination of a two-day battery and sub-one-hour charging positions the V70 as a serious contender for travelers and heavy users.

Zeiss Cameras & 5,000-Nit Displays

Vivo’s partnership with Zeiss continues to be its secret weapon. The V70 series features a triple-camera system that mimics the logic of the more expensive X-series:

  • Main: 50MP Sony IMX766 with OIS.
  • Telephoto: 50MP Zeiss Night Telephoto (Sony IMX882) with 3x optical and up to 100x digital zoom.
  • Selfie: A high-res 50MP sensor designed for group portraits.

On the front, the display is equally aggressive. Both models sport a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, currently one of the highest in the industry, and ultra-slim 1.25mm bezels that create a nearly borderless look.

Durability & Software: Built for 2032

Vivo is also pushing the “longevity” angle. The V70 series carries dual IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it can survive high-pressure water jets and deep immersion. The frame is crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum, adding structural rigidity.

On the software front, the phones will ship with Android 16 (OriginOS 6). Vivo has committed to:

  • 4 Years of major Android OS updates.
  • 6 Years of security patches.
