Vivo X Fold 3 Spotted on IMEI Certification Website: Launch Imminent

A few days ago we reported about how Vivo is gearing up to launch a host of products in February-March 2024. These include the Vivo V30 Series, Vivo Pad 3, Vivo X100 Ultra, and the next foldable from the brand- the Vivo X Fold 3. A few days ago foldable was spotted on the IMEI database getting certification which confirmed the launch of the Vivo X Fold 3 Series is imminent now it has received radio certification in its home country China, making the launch imminent. The series is said to include 2 foldables- Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, out of which one will be slightly more affordable than the other.

The Vivo X Fold 3 has been spotted with model number V2303A. The listing doesn’t reveal any key specs about the device but it does confirm the removal of a major hurdle in the way of the phone’s launch.

Vivo X Fold 3: Expected features

Various reports have claimed that Vivo X Fold 3 will be an affordable foldable skipping quite a few premium features like the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, periscope telephoto lens, and more. These features will remain exclusive to Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.

The Vivo X Fold 3 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and packs a 5600mAh battery under the hood with 80W wired fast charging. In terms of camera, X Fold 3 is expected to sport a 50MP OV50H primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization. It will most likely be a lightweight foldable with a weight of around 220 grams.

The display is claimed to be a 2K panel with 120Hz refresh rate but whether it will be an LTPO panel or not is doubtful.

Vivo X Fold 3: Launch Timeline

Vivo is expected to hold a grand launch event in February-March 2024 wherein the brand will announce Vivo X Fold 3 series, Vivo Pad 3, Vivo X100 Ultra, and some more products.

Although Vivo X Fold 2 was launched only in China, this time the X Fold 3 Series might come to India as well, considering the fast-growing market for foldables in the country. Even Xiaomi showcased its foldables to Indian media this time, hinting at a possible entry into the foldable segment in India soon, so Vivo might join in too.

In 2024, Vivo launched its X100 Series in India including Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro.
