After teasing the vivo X200 FE and the vivo X Fold 5 for the Indian market, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has finally announced a launch date for the handsets. Both handsets debuted in China, the company’s home market, last month.

vivo X Fold 5 & X200 FE Release Date (India)
The company’s upcoming foldable, the X Fold 5, and the compact flagship, the X200 FE, will debut in India at 12:00 PM IST on July 14, 2025.
Post its launch, the handsets will be available for purchase on the company’s official website (e-store) and the popular e-commerce platform Flipkart. More details about the pricing should surface in the coming days (via leaks or rumors) or directly at the launch.
vivo X Fold 5 Specifications And Features
The X Fold 5’s microsite is now live, revealing many details about the upcoming foldable. First, the X Fold 5 will measure 9.2mm when folded and 4.3mm when unfolded, which makes it thinner than the Fold 6 (12.1mm when folded and 5.6mm when unfolded). Furthermore, the device weighs 217 grams, making it noticeably lighter than the Fold 6 (which weighs 239 grams).
Regarding the X Fold 5’s durability, vivo mentions that the phone is tested to withstand up to 600,000 folds (up from 200,000 for the Fold 6).

In addition, the phone features two ratings for water resistance (IPX8 and IPX9), one rating for dust resistance (IP5X), and another rating that suggests that the phone can last in -20°C harsh environmental conditions.
Given that the Fold 6 has an IP48 rating, it looks like the X Fold 5 will offer better resistance against dust and water ingress.
Powering the vivo X Fold 5 will be a massive 6,000 mAh dual-cell battery that supports 80W fast wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Again, this gives the book-style foldable an edge over the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which features a 4,400 mAh battery with support for 25W and 15W wireless charging.
Other features include ZEISS Imaging with a 50MP telephoto camera and the AI Productivity Suite, which includes features such as Origin Workbench and Shortcut Button.

vivo X200 FE Specifications And Features
The vivo X200 FE will be available in India in three colors: Amber Yellow, Forest Blue, and Luxe Black. It also features IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, making the handset suitable for withstanding 12 hours of rain, 100 bars of high-pressure steam, and a high temperature of 80 °C.
It will feature a 6.31-inch AMOLED screen and be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ SoC (with UFS 3.1 storage). Regarding optics, the phone has a 50MP ZEISS primary sensor, another 50MP ZEISS telephoto sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
Powering the vivo X200 FE will be a 6,500 mAh battery that provides up to 25.4 hours of YouTube playback.
