Vivo’s upcoming foldable series, the Vivo X Fold3 and the Vivo X Fold3 Pro have been in the talks for quite some time now. Earlier this week, we shared Vivo X Fold3 Pro’s specifications and now it’s time for its younger sibling, the Vivo X Fold3. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications of both devices.

A post on Weibo, China’s exclusive social media platform, leaked the promotional posters of the forthcoming Vivo X Fold3 series. The leaked posters come from a reliable source, so rest assured these are accurate. It’s important to note that the marketing posters are in Chinese.

Vivo X Fold3 Full Specifications

Per the leaked posters, the Vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro sport Samsung’s E7 display on both the inner and the outer screen. The outer screen (when folded) measures 6.5 inches while the inner screen (when unfolded) measures 8.03 inches with a 2K+ resolution and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. There’s also an ultrasonic fingerprint on each of the screens.

Vivo claims that the X Fold3 series will be thinner than the world’s thinnest smartphone, that is the Vivo X5 Max at 5.1mm. This thickness, obviously, will be when unfolded. The devices will also be IPX8 rated which makes it water resistant. There’s no dust resistance though.

Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold3 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip while the X Fold3 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. As for the optics, both the Vivo X Fold3 and Fold3 Pro will feature a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens, all equipped with OIS. There’s also a 6 nm V3 imaging chip that will complement the Snapdragon chip’s ISP.

The device will be powered by OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, at least in China. The device is also capable of controlling your Mac. Finally, the device will have a 5500 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

There will also be an IR blaster and up to 2TB storage option. However, that’s expected to split between 1TB internal storage and 1TB expandable storage. Finally, the Vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro are expected to be priced at CNY 7,999 and CNY 9,999, respectively.
