Vivo X200 Series Officially Confirmed Ahead of China launch on October 14: Details Inside

Vivo has been teasing its upcoming Vivo X200 Series including three smartphones for a while now. The launch date for the Vivo X200 Series has been set as 14th October in China. The Vivo X200 Series will be the successor to the Vivo X100 Series and include three smartphones- Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro Mini. Now, a week ahead of its launch, some official details about the series have been confirmed by Jia Jingdong, Vivo’s VP & GM of Brand & Product Strategy. Along with the details, design, and camera samples for each device have also been shared by him.

Vivo X200 Series: Details

Let’s talk about the photography capabilities of the Vivo X200 Series first. The series will stand out with its Zeiss 200MP APO Super telephoto lens. The lens takes better portraits with a 135mm focal length and also features a telephoto macro mode for refined compositions. There is also a pioneering landscape mode for stunning sceneries.

Video-taking capabilities have also been enhanced. It now includes 4K 120fps slow motion videos, 10-bit long, and 4K backlit movie portrait videos which are made possible by Vivo’s V3+ chipset and Sony LYT-818 sensor. All these advancements aim to offer a better photography and videography experience to professionals as well as amateurs.

In terms of performance, the Vivo X200 Series will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset that has surpassed 3 million on the AnTuTu test. The chipset has been made in partnership with Vivo and it supports AI tasks, real-time voice interaction, smart beauty filters, and much more. Vivo has tried to improve connectivity as well. This can be seen in kilometer-level network-free communication tech that uses the LoRa spread spectrum for long-distance, cost-free communication without any network coverage.

The Vivo X200 Series will run OriginOS 5 which will be capable of handling most of the daily AI tasks on the device itself. This will include millisecond-level real-time voice interaction and translation, fast-live broadcast, real-time filters, smart beauty filters, one-sentence video editing, personalized and secure smart schedule management real-time object recognition, NPC behavior-controlled game AI and more. In this era of AI, such a powerful chip can do wonders.

The display of the Vivo X200 Series will have a Zeiss Master Color Screen and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, offering a display effect and eye protection experience close to the iPhone retina screen. The Vivo X200 Pro Mini version will have a smaller flat screen along with narrow borders and smooth corners.

Lastly, the battery performance will also see substantial improvements due to silicon negative electrodes and semi-solid battery tech. It will improve energy density, low-temperature resistance, and lifespan. The series will offer a dependable performance in extreme conditions.

According to Jingdong, The Vivo X200 Series will build on the legacy of its predecessor. Vivo X200 Series dominated the 4-6k yuan price range and made Vivo’s hold in the global market even stronger. This was why it secured 1st position as China’s top mobile phone brand for three years consecutively. Now with the X200 Series around the corner, Vivo hopes to continue the same sales momentum in these times of AI integration.
