- vivo X300 to pack a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPB main sensor (1/1.4-inch).
- vivo X300 Pro to use a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto sensor (1/1.4-inch), alongside the LYT-828 main camera sensor (1/1.28-inch).
- Both devices are expected to debut in October 2025 in China and December 2025 in India.
vivo has confirmed that its upcoming vivo X300 series will debut with Samsung’s latest ISOCELL HPB sensors. The vivo X300 will use a 23mm 200MP main camera powered by a 1/1.4-inch Samsung ISOCELL HPB sensor, while the vivo X300 Pro will employ the same 200MP HPB sensor in its periscope telephoto camera.
The 200MP HPB in the X300’s main camera, a derivative of Samsung’s HP9, is a direct upgrade over the X200’s 50MP 1/1.56-inch sensor. With a larger 1/1.4-inch size, it improves light intake for better low-light shots and detail. It is said to support 23mm 200MP ultra-clear output and 50mm 50MP high-res captures, backed by CIPA 4.5-level OIS and Zeiss T* coating for reduced reflections and more vibrant colors.

The X300 Pro, on the other hand, takes things further with its 200MP HPB periscope telephoto lens, also 1/1.4-inch in size. Alongside a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary sensor (1/1.28-inch) and vivo’s VS1 + V3+ imaging chips, the Pro variant is perhaps getting a great upgrade over the X200 Pro (review).

“The HPB sensor represents a milestone in our collaboration with Samsung,” said vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao. “Tailored exclusively for vivo, it elevates the X300 series’ photographic capabilities to new heights.” The “B” in HPB stands for “Blue,” highlighting vivo’s customized version of the sensor for its flagships.
