TL; DR
  • The vivo X300 Max is expected to be a larger version of the X300, with a 6.82-inch to 6.9-inch display and a slightly bigger 6,500 mAh to 6,800 mAh battery.
  • Leaks suggest it keeps the same Dimensity 9400+ chipset, triple 50 MP camera setup, and OriginOS 5 software as the standard X300.
  • A launch is expected around late March or early April 2026, either alongside the X300 series or shortly after.

vivo may be getting ready to bring back its “Max” formula, and the leaks make it sound very straightforward: take the vivo X300 (review), scale it up, and give it a larger battery. According to multiple leaks from Chinese tipsters and certification chatter, vivo is working on a vivo X300 Max

Bigger display, bigger battery, and that’s it

The main changes seem to be exactly what the name suggests. The X300 Max is rumored to use a 6.82-inch display, with some leaks pushing that number closer to 6.9 inches. Either way, it would be noticeably larger than the 6.67-inch panel expected on the regular X300.

The screen is said to be a flat LTPO AMOLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. Leaks suggest a 6,500 mAh to 6,800 mAh silicon-carbon cell, which would be a major jump over the 6,040 mAh battery expected on the X300. Charging speeds are expected to remain the same: 90W wired and 40W wireless.

Same core specs as the X300

The interesting part is that vivo does not seem to be changing much else. Leaks suggest the X300 Max keeps the same Dimensity 9500 chipset as the X300, along with the same general camera approach. That includes a triple 50 MP rear setup with a main camera, an ultrawide, and a periscope telephoto, all powered by ZEISS. Software is also expected to be the same: OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Expected launch timeline

The vivo X300 series is currently rumored for late March or early April 2026 in China. The X300 Max is expected to launch either alongside the main lineup or shortly after as a follow-up model. Global availability, including India, could follow in Q2 2026, though vivo’s s and Max models sometimes stay China-only.

No official renders have leaked yet, but given how quickly vivo launches tend to move once certifications start showing up, it would not be surprising if we start seeing more concrete leaks very soon.
