All the major telecom giants like Airtel, Vi, and Jio recently announced a hike in their plan charges in India. The plans which earlier started at around Rs. 75 now cost Rs. 99. But did you ever think that a plan could cost Rs. 1? Well, Jio has managed to come up with this too. Let us have a look at the newly launched Jio 4G prepaid plan that has been released for subscribers in India.

Reliance Jio Rs. 1 Plan

Mukesh Ambani’s Jio has launched a new Rs. 1 plan for its subscribers in India. The pack costing Rs. 1 offers 100MB of 4G data. It has a validity of 30 days. Post the 100MB limit, the speed will be downgraded to 64kbps, which is adequate to send messages on WhatsApp.

Consumers can perform multiple recharges and even queue the pack to automatically activate it once the 100MB data from the initial recharge is exhausted. This data add-on will give you 1GB data for Rs. 10, which is about 50% cheaper than Jio’s 1GB data add on costing Rs. 15. No other telecom provider has come up with such a plan.

To check if the new pack is available on your Jio prepaid number, go to the Recharge section of the My Jio App, swipe left on the top row, and tap on Value. After this tap on the Other Plans Option.

The Rs. 1 Value Pack

The 1 Rs. The plan is the most affordable in the world at the moment. It has already gone live on the Jio website and app. Interestingly, Rs. 1 data pack is cheaper than even a water sachet which costs somewhere around Rs. 2 to Rs. 5. Apart from Jio’s Data plan, only selective candies can be bought for Rs. 1.
