Indian households have spent more than 4 hours daily binge-watching their favorite shows, movies, sports, and more in 2022. Amazon Fire TV Streaming Trends Report has gone official which shows what was most watched and searched in India in 2022, also claims that Indians placed 6 search queries every second through Alexa on their Fire TV last year.
According to the report, regional content gained more market in 2022. Fire TV Users watched content in more than 12 languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali topping the list.
India chose ‘Comedy’ as the most streamed genre of content. Horror and Cartoons were the other 2 most searched genres.

1. Pushpa: The Rise
Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna was the most streamed movie on Fire TV in 2022. Made on a budget of Rs. 170 to 250 crore, the film earned Rs. 350 to 373 crore at the box office.
2. Brahmastra: Shiva Part 1
Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was at the 2nd position. The first part in Ayaan Mukherjee’s Astra verse trilogy saw Shiva fighting mighty forces to save the world.
3. The Kashmir Files
The Kashmir Files starring Anupam Kher was the underdog as the movie made on a limited budget crashed the box office like no other.
