WhatsApp has been on a spree of introducing new features every month to enhance the experience of the users. As of now, the instant messaging application is all set to introduce new features focused on privacy at the beginning of the new year. Latest reports suggest that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows all web users to select multiple chats in a single go. Apart from that, the meta-owned messaging company has also introduced features like community, status, avatar, reactions to messages, and so on.

A report by WABetaInfo said that the platform is now working on a feature that provides the users ability to select multiple chats on WhatsApp Desktop beta. The new feature will allow users to manage their chat list select and delete chats altogether and more.

After the official release, the WhatsApp Select Chat feature will be available in the chat menu. All the users will be able to select the multiple chats and take actions like mute, mark unread or read for multiple chats together. As of now, the WhatsApp Select Chat feature is under development and is expected to roll out soon for the purpose of testing with the upcoming beta versions of WhatsApp Desktop.

WhatsApp to bring report status update feature

WhatsApp is also working on a brand new feature in order to make the platform more secure as compared to the past. As per the latest reports, the platform is working on a report status feature that will let the users report any suspicious status update that is violating the terms and conditions of the platform.

In the past, WhatsApp already allowed users to report suspicious profiles and messages, now the platform will also provide the same thing for status updates too. We can expect the feature to roll out for beta testing by the first few months of 2023. In addition, all Android, Desktop, and iOS users can undo a message which they accidentally deleted. All users can easily retrieve the message deleted by them a few seconds ago accidentally.
