The beta feature, reported by the folks at WABetaInfo uses Meta AI, Meta’s AI, to understand the context, follow instructions, and generate visuals based on the same. At the time of writing this, the feature is limited to a selected group of users and in a few places, however, WhatsApp appears to be keen on rolling out the feature widely.

Where could you find the new AI image generate feature on WhatsApp? Instant messaging has made it quite easy to find and use any of its features. All you need is to tap on the ‘safety pin’ icon on the bottom-right corner next to the chat box and select ‘Imagine’. No more digging through the photo gallery or wandering on the internet trying to find that perfect GIF or pic that feels natural to any individual or group chats you might be having.

The feature is a part of WhatsApp beta for Android v2.24.12.4 available via Google Play Store.
