Xiaomi has already wrapped up with Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro smartphones sporting triple 50MP sensors leaving Xiaomi 14 Ultra as the member to be announced. The latest report suggests the Ultra will pick up a quad 50MP camera setup with a faster f/1.6-f/4.0 variable aperture on the primary cam. Let’s dive into more details.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra with a wider aperture

Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) took it to Weibo discussing an unnamed device with a 50+50+50+50MP quad-camera setup. The device is said to sport a variable aperture on the primary camera with f/1.6-f/4.0 which is a bit slower than Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s f/1.6 aperture.

For reference, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra also sports a 50MP quad-camera setup with a two-step lens that gives it the ability to toggle between f/1.4 and f/4.0 aperture. However, with the speculated aperture for Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the device could churn impressive image quality thanks to a larger sensor.

Note that DCS’s post on Weibo doesn’t explicitly mention Xiaomi 14 Ultra with the aforementioned camera setup. However, since Ultra is due, reports suggest he is talking about the upcoming Ultra.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra leaked specs suggests 50MP quad-camera with variable aperture

Xiaomi released the 14 series earlier this month in China with no information on its global availability. Speaking about the availability for Ultra, both Xiaomi 12 Ultra and 13 Ultra never made it outside the Chinese shores which means we are susceptible it would make it this time. But hey, let’s keep our fingers crossed as we eagerly wait for more information to arrive.

Xiaomi 14 Series Specs

As Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a top-of-the-line flagship phone, we are sure it will bring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC onboard. Of course, it will take most of the features from its siblings including a LTPO OLED 120Hz panel that rocks up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. There’s 120W fast charging plus 50W wireless charging support on the Pro.

The previous generations of Ultras had plastic leather at the back. However, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could upgrade to an elegant-looking glassback but let’s take this intel with a pinch of salt as well.
