The flagship smartphone launch season is upon us, and leading the pack is the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 series. While Xiaomi has remained tight-lipped about the official launch, leaks suggest a late October release in China.
Although details about the Xiaomi 15 Pro have been scarce, that’s about to change. Smartprix, in collaboration with prolific leaker Kartikey, brings you an exclusive first look of the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Let’s dive in and explore the exciting upgrades it offers:
A Refined Design

We’ve obtained a set of renders providing a close-up look at the smartphone. As the renders reveal, the Xiaomi 15 Pro retains a design language similar to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro. It features a sleek glass sandwich construction with a flat metal frame. However, Xiaomi has subtly adjusted the dimensions to accommodate a larger battery and display.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro will launch in three classic colors: Black, White, and Silver. A special Titanium edition will also be available, mirroring the Xiaomi 14 Pro release. The most striking design change is the rear camera module, which now neatly houses the three lenses and a Laser AF module, with the flash positioned separately.

Powerful Performance
The Xiaomi 15 Pro features a stunning 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED TCL supplied panel. With a 2K resolution, 500+ ppi, and a 120Hz refresh rate, it promises a visually immersive experience. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and a generous 1TB of internal storage.
Impressive Camera Capabilities

In terms of optics, the 15 Pro features a triple rear camera setup. The star of the show is a 50MP (1/1.3”) Light Fusion 900 series primary sensor with an f/1.4 aperture. This is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens and a new 50MP Sony IMX858 5X Tele macro camera with a 30cm focus distance. Meanwhile, selfies will be handled by a 32MP camera. The phone will also retain the signature Leica camera tuning just like the Xiaomi 14 series.

Feature Packed unit
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is set to offer an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The company is also promising up to 5 years of Android updates, ensuring long-term software support.

Other notable additions include the Xiaomi AI suite, HyperOS 2.0, and satellite connectivity (exclusive to the Titanium Edition), along with a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to debut in China this October, followed by a global release in early 2025. Xiaomi has ambitious plans for 2025, including the launch of a button-less smartphone. While pricing for the Xiaomi 15 series remains unconfirmed, we expect it to be in line with the previous generation.
