TL; DR
- Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra specs have leaked ahead of launch.

- Xiaomi 15 is mostly the same as the Chinese model, except for a smaller battery. Launch is set for 2nd March.
Xiaomi has been teasing its next big flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and the excitement is palpable as the company gears up for a global launch on March 2, 2025. Alongside the Xiaomi 15, the Ultra variant is set to make waves, particularly in India and across international markets.
Thanks to leaks from tipster Sudhanshu on X (Twitter), we now have a detailed look at the specifications of the global units of both the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 15. So, here’s everything you need to know. Let’s dive into the details.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a 6.73-inch WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and 522 ppi. The display will support a dynamic refresh rate from 1–120 Hz, including an Always-on Display mode running at 1 Hz.
Xiaomi is promising peak brightness of up to 3200 Nits at 25% APL, making it one of the brightest displays on a smartphone. It will also support HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for high dynamic range content.
The color accuracy is maintained with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and 68 billion colors with TrueColor calibration. Xiaomi is using DC Dimming and 1920 Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light (hardware solution), anti-flicker support, and circadian rhythm-friendly viewing.
Powering the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s latest 3nm chipset. The processor features an octa-core Oryon CPU with two prime cores clocked at up to 4.32 GHz and six performance cores reaching up to 3.53 GHz.
The phone will use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. To keep things cool, Xiaomi is implementing its “Dual-Channel Ice-Loop 3D Cooling System,” which should help manage thermals during extended gaming or intensive tasks.

Cameras
Xiaomi’s Leica partnership continues with a quad-camera setup, but there are some key changes. The 50 MP main sensor is still a Leica-branded wide-angle lens with OIS, using the 1-inch type Sony LYT-900 sensor. It features a 3.2 µm 4-in-1 superpixel with a 1.6 µm pixel size. The focal length equivalents range from 23 mm (optical), 28 mm, 35 mm, and 46 mm, with a f/1.63 aperture.
Moving to telephoto, the 70 mm floating telephoto lens has 50 MP resolution, and it’s paired with the Sony IMX858 sensor with a 1/2.51-inch size. The aperture is f/1.8, and the minimum focus distance is 10 cm, meaning telemacro functionality is only available on this lens.

The 100 mm periscope telephoto lens (4.3x zoom) is using the Samsung HP9 sensor, which is 1/1.4 inches in size. The focal length equivalent is 100 mm, and the aperture is f/2.6, with a minimum focus distance of 50 cm, making it incapable of telemacro.
The ultra-wide camera is a downgrade this year. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra had a 12 mm f/1.8 1/2.51-inch ultra-wide sensor, while the 15 Ultra is using a smaller 1/2.76-inch sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 14 mm focal length. This means less light and a smaller field of view.
The front camera is a 32 MP shooter with a 0.7 µm pixel size and f/2.0 aperture. Not much is known about this sensor yet. All lenses except the ultra-wide and the front have OIS.
Battery and Charging

Xiaomi is including a 6,000 mAh high-capacity battery in the China variant (stressing here), but the global version is getting a downgraded 5,410 mAh battery. Charging speeds remain strong with 90W HyperCharge wired charging and 80W wireless charging. The phone will also support 18W reverse wireless charging, perhaps the fastest in the industry.
Xiaomi claims four years of battery life preservation, meaning it should retain solid performance over time. Connectivity features include dual nano-SIM with an additional eSIM slot, dual 5G, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, and NFC.
Build
The phone will be available in Chrome, Black, and White colors. Dimensions are 161.3 mm × 75.3 mm × 9.48 mm for the Black and White versions and 9.35 mm for the Legend Edition. The weight is 229g for the Legend Edition and 226g for the Black/White models.
Build quality is top-notch, with Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 for drop resistance, a Guardian Structure for enhanced durability, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the camera module. The phone is IP68 water and dust resistant.
Software

The Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, will be running the show, bringing better optimizations and AI-powered enhancements. Xiaomi HyperAI is making a big push this year, offering various AI-powered features.
The Creative Assistant can erase distractions, transform skies, expand images beyond their frame, remove reflections, enhance zoomed or blurry images, remove backgrounds, and even generate images of yourself. AI can also automatically edit videos.
The Productivity Assistant includes content recognition (text, translation, summaries, and search), voice recognition (transcription, instant translation, subtitles), and integration with Google Gemini Nano 2 and Google Circle to Search.
