Xiaomi launches Redmi 9A in India; Check price, specifications, sale details

Xiaomi, the current Indian smartphone market leader, has launched its entry segment Redmi 9A in the country, the new ‘Desh ka smartphone’. The Redmi 9A touches Indian shores two months after its Malaysia launch. This is the third Redmi 9 series phone to launch in the last month and will compete against Realme C3 (review), Realme C12 (review), and other budget phones under Rs 10,000.

Redmi 9A Price, Availability

The Redmi 9A India price is set at Rs 6,799 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage whereas the 3GB + 32GB variant is priced at Rs 7,499. Xioami will hold the first Redmi 9A sale on September 4th at 12 PM on Mi website, Amazon, and Mi Home stores.

Redmi 9A Features, Highlights

The Redmi 9A sports a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD screen on the front. There’s a v shape notch housing a selfie camera on the front. For its entry segment offering, Xiaomi is betting on the 2GHz MediaTek Helio G25 chipset. It is equipped with HyperEngine technology and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

Optics-wise, the Redmi 9A packs a 13MP AI camera and an LED flash. There is a 5MP selfie camera on the front.

Redmi 9A ships with a 5,000 mAh non-removable battery and a 10W charger. Like all recent Redmi phones, it also comes runs on MiUi 12 out-of-the-box. As for connectivity, the Redmi 9A supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro USB port for charging.

It will be available in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colour options.
