Xiaomi India had launched the heir to their highly successful Mi A1, the Mi A2, earlier this year in August. The Xiaomi Mi A2 first debuted with a RAM of 4GB and internal storage of 64GB as a part of Google’s Android One Program.

Now, Xiaomi has launched a slightly superior variant of this device with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Other than the bump in memory there isn’t any other change in the hardware. This new variant has also been aggressively priced and it can easily give other budget smartphones a run for their money.

The phone can be also serve as an alternative to the likes of higher-priced Poco F1 because of its stock Android advantage.

Mi A2 Features

The Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch 18:9 full HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass, and Gorilla Glass 5. Xiaomi has used Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC to power the Mi A2 which is supported by an Adreno 512 GPU.

It features a dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 with f/1.75 aperture and 1.25-micron pixels mated to a 20-megapixel secondary Sony IMX376 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and a 2-micron 4-in-1 Super Pixel size. It also gets a dual-tone LED flash and PDAF support. Up front, Xiaomi has added a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 selfie camera with f/1.75 aperture, fixed focal length, and a soft-LED flash.

The phone packs a 3,010mAh battery under the hood. It supports Quick Charge 4 for fast-charging support out of the box. It runs Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box which can be upgraded to Android Pie.
