Xiaomi, the market leader in Indian wearable space, today launched Mi Band HRX Limited edition in India priced at 1299 INR. The new Mi Band is almost same as the Mi Band 2 that launched last year, but there is no heart rate sensor, which is to say that Xiaomi is rehashing a year old product and has partnered the renowned Indian film star and fitness enthusiast, Hrithik Roshan, to add more bling.

The main module is black in color and initially Black and Blue color bands will be available in India. Xiaomi says Green and Orange bands are on their way too.

Xiaomi MI Band HRX Edition Specifications

Talking of specifications, the Mi Band HRX Edition has a 0.42-inch OLED display with scratch resistant glass with smudge resistant oleophobic coating on top. The display shows time, steps taken and calories consumed.

The Mi Band HRX is IP67 water resistant certified and uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE to pair with your Android or iOS smartphone.

How is it Mi Band HRX different than Mi Band 2?

Well, Xiaomi claims that the pedometer algorithm is now more accurate and also, the 70mAh battery can now last for 23days (as against 20 days on Mi Band 2). The more expensive Mi Band 2 additionally includes a heart rate monitor as well.

The HRX edition is also cheaper than the original Mi Band 2, but that’s only fair considering the missing heart rate monitor and the fact that Mi Band 2 first debuted almost a year ago.
