Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, Redmi K80 Ultra, Open Earphones Pro & AI Glasses Launched

Xiaomi hosted a launch event in its home country, China, where the brand announced its next foldable, a new pair of TWS Buds, its First AI Glasses, and a new smartphone. Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 has gone official in China along with the Redmi K80 Ultra smartphone, Open Earphones Pro & Xiaomi AI 2K Glasses. The global launch of these devices is expected to take place later this year. For now, let’s have a look at the features of these newly launched devices.

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2: Features & Pricing

The next-generation foldable, Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, comes with upgrades across display, performance, battery, and design. It features a 4.01-inch outer AMOLED display with up to 3200 nits brightness. The inner display uses M9 material with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 460PPI, and TUV Rheinland certification. The foldable is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and it runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box. Xiaomi has debuted the industry’s first dual vapor chamber cooling system in a flip phone.

In terms of camera, Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 gets two 50MP Leica-tuned sensors at the back with OIS. At the front is a 32MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the flip phone packs a 5165mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging capability.

Xiaomi has launched it in Shell White, Nebula Purple, Plum Green, and Grid Gold shades, and it starts at 5999 yuan in China for the 12GB/256GB variant.

Redmi K80 Ultra: Features & Pricing

Redmi has also added a new high-performance model to the K-Series lineup. Redmi K80 Ultra sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K flat OLED screen and uses M9 luminescent materials supporting peak brightness of 3200 nits. The display also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 2560Hz PWM dimming, and is protected by Xiaomi’s Shield Glass.

Redmi K80 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset paired with Immortalis-G925 GPU, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB of onboard storage. It gets a 6500mm2 vapor cooling system, and it runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

In terms of camera, it gets a dual lens setup at the back, including a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide camera. At the front is a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. Under the hood, it packs a massive 7410mAh battery with a 100W wired charging speed. Connectivity features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR Blaster, Type-C audio, and more. The smartphone is IP68/IP69 rated and comes in Sandstone Grey, Moonstone White, Spruce Green, and Ice Peak Blue colors. Pricing starts at 2599 yuan for the 12GB RAM+256GB storage version.

Xiaomi Open Earphones Pro: Features & Pricing

The Xiaomi Open Earphones Pro focuses on comfort, spatial audio, and voice-centric features while being loaded with specs. Xiaomi claims it is the first in the industry to feature a five-unit acoustic system, including a custom 1813 super-large dynamic woofer for bass, a dual dynamic iron tweeter module, and a ceramic driver to round out the frequency range.

The tuning has been done in partnership with Harman’s Golden Ear team, and there are multiple EQ presets built in. The design uses 0.6mm flexible titanium memory wire ear hooks, rated for over 5000 bends, paired with skin-friendly liquid silicone shell and a three-point ergonomic fit system. The design is more breathable, and it comes with features like Headphone Independent Recording 2.0, gesture controls, IP54 rating, and up to 8.5 hours of runtime on a single charge. With the case, the buds offer up to 45 hours of playback time.

The earphones are available for 999 yuan in China and come in Obsidian Black, Silver, and Titanium Gold finishes.

Xiaomi AI Glasses

Xiaomi has entered the eyewear space by launching its first AI smart glasses. Xiaomi AI Glasses are a lightweight wearable designed to blend camera, AI interaction, and mobile device integration into a 40-gram device. The glasses can record in 2K resolution and come with a 12MP first-person camera along with a five-microphone system for voice control, video calls, and sound capture.

It supports EIS that can be triggered by voice or by a physical camera button on the temple. Visually, they look like regular eyewear and come in three frame styles. They include electrochromic and colored lens options, with the former allowing users to change lens tint on the fly with a two-finger swipe. You can adjust between four levels of brightness and have is built of a nylon frame and aviation-grade titanium alloy hinges.

Glasses support 14 third-party apps, and the company claims you will get about 45 minutes of continuous video recording or 7 hours of music playback on a single charge. It has a USB-C port for charging. The glasses are retailing for 1999 yuan, aka 275 USD for the base model, and going all the way up to 2999 yuan for the electrochromic model.

India Launch of these Devices

The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is expected to arrive in India by July or August 2025, while the Redmi K80 Ultra may not be launched in India, as it is likely to be introduced under the Poco branding in the country.

Xiaomi Open Earphones Pro have already been FCC certified, so they will be coming to India within the next few weeks, while Xiaomi AI Glasses might take around 2-3 months to launch in India.
