Date is Out! Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Series 5G to launch in India on January 4

2024 is about to draw in and the month of January itself will see some major smartphone launches by leading tech giants. While Vivo is expected to launch the X100 Series and Samsung will come up with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series, reportedly going official on January 17, Xiaomi has also shared a major update regarding its Note 13 Series.

Xiaomi India took to Twitter to confirm that the Redmi Note 13 Series 5G is coming to India on January 4. The Redmi Note 13 Series will reportedly include three smartphones- Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The date was earlier hinted at when the brand launched Redmi 13C earlier this month. During the live event, the company confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is coming to India in January 2024 and now the date for the same has been confirmed.

The tweet has a link to a page that features the ‘Notify Me’ button and mentions that the Redmi Note Series has sold over 33.8 crore units around the world. Other than this there are no other details on the page. The event will be live-streaming on the official YouTube page of Xiaomi India.

Since the Redmi Note 13 Series has already launched in China, we do have an idea about what the specs will be.

Redmi Note 13 Series: Expected specs

Redmi Note 13 sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Dimensity 6080 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. At the back is a dual camera setup with 100MP+2MP lenses at the back and a 16MP camera at the front. Under the hood is a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging and the device runs Android 13 based MIUI 14 out of the box.

Redmi Note 13 Pro and Pro+ have the same 6.67-inch 1.5K FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. While the Pro variant is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, the Pro Plus model is powered by Dimensity 7200 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage onboard.

Both phones have a triple camera setup at the back including a 200MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. At the front above the display is a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Note 13 Pro draws juice from a 5100mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while Pro+ has a 5000mAh battery with 120W wired charging. Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ run Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.

Redmi Note 13 Series: Expected Price

Redmi Note 13 5G is expected to be priced at around 12,000 for the base model while Redmi Note 13 Pro might be priced at around 16,000 for the base storage variant. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ might begin at around Rs. 21,000 for the Indian market.
