You’d have to verify your student status first, but the benefits outweigh the time it takes to complete the process.

Among the key benefits of the Google AI Pro student plan is access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Veo 3 text-to-video generator (with synchronized audio), Google’s AI filmmaking tool called Flow, NotebookLM, Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Vids, and other Google apps, and a whopping 2TB of cloud storage for photos, Drive, and Gmail.

  • First, head to the official Google Gemini student offer page.
  • There, you can check the preliminary details about the offer. The page should read, “College students get Gemini upgrade for 1 year for Rs. 19,500 [strikethrough] FREE.” Click on the “Get Offer” button below.
  • On the next page, Google should list all the benefits of the Google AI Pro plan. Select “Verify Eligibility.”

  • On the next screen, Google will ask you to enter the required details, such as the name of the school you’re associated with, along with your first and/last name, date of birth, and a student email address.
  • Once Google verifies the details through SheerID (either by logging in through the institution’s website or uploading documents, such as a student identification card), you’ll receive a confirmation email.
  • Follow the steps mentioned in the email to redeem the free subscription to Google AI Pro for a year.
  • You might be asked to enter a valid mode of payment for verification purposes, but you won’t be charged during the offer duration (i.e., one year from the date of registration).
