Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series built its reputation on balance. Solid specs across the board without a glaring weak spot. The Redmi Note 17 breaks from that formula entirely. At ₹27,999 onward, it leans almost entirely on one pillar: an 8,000mAh battery, the largest ever fitted to a Note phone. The battery is backed by a bigger 6.9-inch AMOLED display and genuinely strong software support.
To get there, though, Xiaomi has cut deep elsewhere. The phones comes with a simplified single camera, a noticeably weaker chipset than its own predecessor, and a dimmer screen.
