Chinses smartphone maker, Xiaomi unleashed its Redmi Note 4 successor, the Redmi Note 5, in India. The phone is basically a rebranded version of China launched Redmi 5 Plus that has specs which look good at least on paper. As expected the Redmi Note 5 is powered 2.0GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 3GB and 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM 64GB ROM option. The phone seemingly has a 5.9-inch 18:9 screen aspect ratio FHD+ display with 1080 x 2160 resolution. For photography, the Redmi Note 5 is feature decent 12MP primary with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.2 aperture lens, and a 5MP secondary camera. The phone is aided by a normal 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery and runs on Xiaomi's latest Android 7.1 Nougat- based MIUI 9. In terms of connectivity, the Redmi Note 5 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope. It measures 158.50 x 75.45 x 8.05 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 179.50 grams.
