Acer Spin 7 launched as the first 5G laptop in India

Acer has introduced the first 5G laptop in India with the launch of Acer Spin 7. The laptop will enter the country powered by a 2nd Gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx SoC and has a convertible design. The Spin 7 laptop was first seen at the IFA 2020 tech event and its arrival in India will create a new segment of laptops in the country.

Acer Spin 7 Features

Acer has equipped the Spin 7 machine with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G platform which is based on Kryo 495 octa-core CPU clocked at 3GHz speed. It comes with nine built-in antennas to serve the purpose of 5G connectivity. The laptop is paired with an Adreno 685 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 512GB UFS storage. 

Since no telecom operators in India have still commenced a 5G service, the Spin 7 laptop is enabled to support 4G networks for LTE mobile data connection.

The Acer Spin 7 sports a 14-inch Full HD touchscreen display that has ultra-narrow bezels, a peak brightness of 250 nits, and supports an Acer Active stylus. The laptop is 360° convertible for a complete rotation. The body of Spin 7 is crafted using magnesium-aluminum alloy with just 1.4kg of weight. It has a backlit keyboard with gold lettering.

The Spin 7 runs on Windows 10 Pro and also has a fingerprint scanner on the palm rest. The Acer laptop packs a 56WHr battery that claims up to 29 hours of backup. The connectivity options are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB Type-C ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Acer Spin 7 Price & Availability

The Acer Spin 7 laptop is priced at Rs. 1,34,999 and will be available through Acer stores, e-commerce platforms, and authorized retail outlets.
